Which Initial Photo Is Acceptable For A USA Passport?

Your face and upper torso are entirely in the frame;
You are looking directly into the camera, which is positioned at your eye level;
This is a color photo in good quality, without overexposures, shadows, blurs, and broken pixels;
You maintain a neutral facial expression. A slight smile that does not reveal your teeth is acceptable. Ensure that your eyes are open;
The photo depicts your everyday look. Your makeup and accessories do not distort your facial features;
You do not wear uniforms, including military ones: the USA passport photo dress code does not allow them;
You're not wearing any headgear. The exception is if you wear a head covering daily for religious reasons. In this case, the facial oval must be clearly seen;
You're not wearing eye glasses. USA passport photo rules do not allow any glasses, including prescribed ones. If you cannot remove your glasses at all for health reasons, you will need an official medical statement.
